Who can apply: Only EDYN Members
EDYN HQ is thrilled to announce the upcoming training focusing on fundraising for EDYN and its 23 Country Chapters across Europe.
The primary objective of this training is to equip EDYN members, particularly those at the forefront of their country chapters, with the essential skills and knowledge to raise funds and establish partnerships. This effort is crucial for EDYN’s institutional development and the network’s sustainability.
We are seeking participants who fit into one of the following categories:
- Members directly involved in fundraising and partnerships efforts for EDYN country chapters, including those already registered as legal entities, such as EDYN Kosovo and EDYN Ukraine.
- Members from chapters in the process of registering as NGOs or planning to do so.
- Members currently implementing, or interested in implementing, initiatives and member-driven projects (MEFs) on behalf of EDYN within their country chapters.
Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of fundraising basics, including the donor landscape and how to craft a tailored fundraising strategy aligned with their chapter’s specific needs and goals. The training will cover strategies for identifying and engaging local donors and partners and building sustainable relationships. Additionally, participants will also receive practical tips and techniques to write compelling grant proposals and guidance on how to effectively communicate EDYN’s (or their chapter’s) mission and impact to donors.
The training will be led by an international fundraising expert who will share modern techniques in donor outreach, hands-on exercises, and practical tips.
It is important to emphasize that the techniques and strategies taught in this workshop are intended for the benefit of EDYN’s organizational goals. Members who will demonstrate a genuine desire to fundraise for EDYN and/or their country chapter following this training will be prioritized in our selection.
Financial and practical information
The training is organized by EDYN HQ. All expenses including transportation, accommodation, and meals, will be covered by the EDYN HQ. Participants are expected to arrive in Bratislava on 22 September and depart on 25 September 2024.
