What is the project “Workshops in the Regions” about?
In the first half of the year, we visited three youth centers in Moldova to deliver sessions on Advocacy, Elevator Pitches, and Project Writing. Additionally, we opened up a call for youth centers/councils, and 21 entities from villages and small towns applied to benefit from the training.
What was the goal of the workshops?
Through conducting trainings and workshops in smaller regions, we aimed to make education and skill development more accessible to individuals who might not have the means or ability to travel to larger cities. By doing so, we reduced barriers to entry, ensuring that people from all regions have equal opportunities to benefit from these valuable learning experiences.
We believe that access to educational opportunities should not be limited to major cities. Our outreach to smaller regions promotes equal opportunity for individuals across the country, preventing talent and potential from being overlooked based on geographical location and contributing to a more inclusive and equitable society.
What did EDYN members take from it?
From these workshops, EDYN members learned that the regions are eager for more training opportunities, especially since most opportunities are concentrated in the country’s capital. Moreover, those who provided the training had the chance to develop their skills in delivering workshops.
