EDYN HQ is thrilled to open a call for applications for a four-day study trip to Brussels in partnership with the European Office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS), which is a German political foundation affiliated with the Christian Democratic Union Party active worldwide in promoting democracy, the rule of law, and the social market economy through global political education.
All expenses (airfare, accommodation, and meals) will be covered.
The program will bring together six EDYN members from the Western Balkans who must have previous expertise and/or working knowledge of current EU affairs, EU enlargement, and EU foreign policy agenda vis-à-vis the region including its economic development, the energetic and digital transition, democratic processes, and the rule of law.
Through engagements with policymakers from the main European institutions and representatives of the European People’s Party, the sessions will cover the EU enlargement policies and prospects of three of the six Western Balkans countries (Albania, Montenegro, and North Macedonia). The focus will be on the region’s current challenges (including foreign malign influence, disinformation, and democratic backsliding) and on how the new EU leadership will shape the future of these countries’ European integration.
