Digital Storytelling Training in Bratislava, Slovakia Opportunities

Published September 26, 2019

From September 26 to 30, 2019, the International Republican Institute (IRI) held the first Digital Storytelling training for four European Democracy Youth Network (EDYN) members in Bratislava, Slovakia. The attendees spent four days in Bratislava learning how to produce podcasts and use them as a tool to share compelling stories and engage a broader audience.

The leadership training was composed of five different modules specifically tailored for EDYN members and included a workbook for participating members to use during the trainings and to keep for future reference. Modules provided instruction on effective storytelling, building an audience, prepping for and conducting interviews, recording and editing audio, and promoting the completed podcast.

Throughout the four days of interactive trainings, members created their own podcast episode outlines, interview guides, and conducted and recorder their own interviews that were edited into episode prototypes.
