Existing Ambassadors may nominate other Ambassadors for the position of President.
-
This should be done by writing and email with a nomination to the existing Leadership Council ([email protected]), the Election Committee ([email protected]), and the EDYN HQ ([email protected]).
-
After the nomination is submitted, the HQ will request each nominee to accept or reject the nomination within a specified timeframe.
Campaigning:
Once informed of their eligibility by the Election Committee, nominees will have a two-week Campaign Period to seek support among EDYN Ambassadors. Additional rules for the Campaign Period will be specified by the Election Committee.
Election and Voting Procedure:
The EDYN President will be elected by Ambassadors through a simple majority vote conducted electronically.

The Ambassadors from the non-USAID countries who want to run for the LC should nominate themselves by sending an email to the ambassadors of their Country Chapter (emails can be found here) as well as EDYN HQ ([email protected]). These countries have the right to conduct an internal voting process (simple majority) before the Election. Nominees should confirm their nomination by providing a written statement.
Election and Voting Procedure:
In countries with a USAID presence, after the Campaign Period, Country Chapters (members and ambassadors) will elect their LC representatives by a simple majority vote.
In countries without a USAID presence, all EDYN Ambassadors will vote to choose three LC representatives from the pool of all non-USAID candidates. Each Ambassador can cast up to three votes to express their preference among the contested candidates. Voting will be conducted electronically, with separate ballots for the election of Leadership Council Members and the President.
Non-USAID countries: Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia.
We wish all candidates the best of luck in the upcoming elections!
