The European Democracy Youth Network (EDYN) stands united in its condemnation of all forms of violence against innocent civilians in the ongoing conflict in Israel and Gaza. We’re deeply saddened for the countless innocent lives affected by this devastating situation.
EDYN condemns violence from all sides and echoes calls for international humanitarian law and human rights law to be respected and upheld. This ensures that civilians – including women, children, and the elderly – can live in dignity.
Furthermore, we condemn the attacks on critical civilian facilities, such as hospitals, schools, and religious and cultural heritage. These places should always remain sanctuaries of safety and hope, which are protected by international humanitarian law, and may never be targets of violence and destruction.
