The European Democracy Youth Network (EDYN) announces changes to its Board of Trustees as two valued members, Ms. Kathryn Walt Hall and Ms. Caryn Eggeraat, step down from their roles.

Ms. Hall has successfully completed her full three-year term on the Board. Throughout her tenure, she has provided exceptional guidance, support, and leadership, helping EDYN strengthen its mission of empowering young democratic leaders across Europe and beyond. Many in the network had the opportunity to engage with her personally and witnessed her deep commitment to EDYN’s growth and vision.

Ms. Eggeraat, who joined the Board in 2024, is resigning due to professional obligations. Despite her shorter tenure, she made a significant contribution to the organization, offering valuable insights and energy to EDYN’s strategic discussions.

EDYN expresses its sincere gratitude to both Kathryn and Caryn for their dedication and service.

Current Composition of the Board of Trustees

  • Mr. Jonas Rolett, Chairman, Former Special Advisor to the Open Society Foundations’ Chairman
  • Ms. Alison Kelly, former Irish Ambassador to the Czech Republic, Ukraine, and Israel
  • Mr. Peter Cari, Founding Partner of Prism Communications
  • Mr. Nicholas Whyte, Senior Director at APCO and Visiting Professor at Ulster University
  • Mr. Greg Strimple, Founder of GS Strategy Group

To further enhance governance and strategic guidance, EDYN plans to appoint three new members to the Board by the end of the year.

The Board of Trustees plays a vital role in providing oversight and long-term direction for EDYN, ensuring the network’s transparency, integrity, and impact as it continues to support emerging democratic leaders.

EDYN extends its heartfelt thanks to Ms. Hall and Ms. Eggeraat for their invaluable contributions and looks forward to welcoming new members to the Board in the coming months.
