We’re thrilled to announce that the European Democracy Youth Network (EDYN) has been awarded funding from the European Commission’s Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) Programme.
As part of a consortium of civil society organisations led by Stand For Europe, funding will support the “COMPASS – Competitiveness Policy for Accelerating Sustainable Solutions” project.
This two-year initiative (2026–2027) will empower young Europeans to actively engage in shaping the EU’s economic and political future. Through inclusive, high-level platforms, the project will bring together youth, policymakers, experts, and industry leaders to co-create policy solutions that strengthen Europe’s competitiveness and long-term sustainability.
EDYN’s Role in the COMPASS Project
As part of the COMPASS consortium, EDYN will lead two major activities:
Civic Incubator Lab – Bratislava, Slovakia
A participatory learning hub where EDYN members will explore EU competitiveness through interactive workshops and thematic sessions. Guided by experts from academia, business, and policy, participants will engage in deliberative discussions and develop shared insights that will feed into the broader EU competitiveness debate.
Competitiveness Dialogue – Bratislava, Slovakia
A high-level forum connecting EDYN members with European Parliament members, European Commission representatives, and national policymakers. Participants will co-create evidence-based policy proposals on EU competitiveness, which will inform the project’s final conference in Brussels and contribute to a Youth Strategy Paper shaping future EU competitiveness policies.
This project represents another exciting step in EDYN’s mission to enhance youth participation in civic spaces, advocacy, and policymaking. By engaging directly in EU economic and policy discussions, EDYN members will not only expand their understanding of Europe’s strategic priorities but also play an active role in designing solutions for a more resilient and competitive Europe.
