Registrations Open: EDYN Workshops on the Future of European Democracy Opportunities

Published November 7, 2025

What will democracy in Europe look like in 2040? While we can’t predict the future, we believe shaping it starts today, and that young people have the power to imagine and reimagine its possibilities.

To that end, as a partner of the EU-funded YouthDecide 2040 project, EDYN is launching a series of scenario-building workshops taking place in Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Ukraine.

This will be a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with your chapter members, exchange ideas, and strengthen your chapter while contributing to a European-wide conversation about the future of democracy.

All costs will be covered by EDYN HQ, and all participants will receive a per diem for their participation. Travel and accommodation for those not living in the capital will also be arranged and covered by EDYN HQ.

To ensure diverse perspectives in shaping the future of democracy, each EDYN member will be invited to bring a peer, colleague, or fellow student to the event.

Workshops will take place in the national language of each country.

Why Register?

  • Connect and network with your EDYN country chapter members;
  • Help co-create a shared vision for European democracy in 2040, with insights directly influencing civil society and government actions on how democracy can thrive across Europe;
  • Learn hands-on tools for collaboration, dialogue, and conflict mitigation;
  • Be part of a European-wide process amplifying the voices of 600 young people from 20 countries, contributing to policy ideas and recommendations that will be shared with European institutions, national governments, and civil society.
