We are proud to announce the following candidates will attend the trip to Brussels to participate in GLOBSEC’s CEE Her Workshop:

EDYN HQ is thrilled to open a call for applications for a three-day trip to Brussels to participate in GLOBSEC’s CEE Her Workshop.

All expenses (airfare, accommodation, and meals) will be covered.

GLOBSEC is a global think-tank committed to enhancing security, prosperity and sustainability in Europe and beyond. As part of GLOBSEC’s CEE Her Initiative, the event will bring together a group of young female experts from Central and Eastern Europe, Ukraine, and Belarus who specialize in security, international affairs, EU policies, tech, and AI. Through briefings with policymakers, consultations with experts, visits to different institutions, and tailored mentoring sessions, the trip provides a unique opportunity for capacity-building, networking, practice-sharing, and leadership development. 

The sessions will focus on the role of women in security, tech and in the intersection of the two; on the role played by AI in democracy and election integrity; and on building a successful and impactful career as a woman, tackling barriers and embracing opportunities.

  • Organized by: GLOBSEC in cooperation with EDYN HQ
  • Application deadline: Sunday, February 11th 2024, 23:59 CET
  • Participants’ selection: EDYN HQ will select four female members and communicate its selection by February 14th

 

Eligibility:

Due to GLOBSEC’s guidelines, this call is only open to female EDYN members from Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovenia, Croatia., ​the Baltics​, as well as Ukrainian and Belarussian women living in Central Europe, who must also

  • be in their early career path with some expertise in security; EU affairs; foreign policy; and/or working on the intersection of tech and security, tech and democracy, AI and its effects;
  • be active EDYN members;
  • have C1-English level (or higher);
  • be eligible to travel to Belgium without a visa.
