EDYN Launches Two New Erasmus+ Projects Empowering Young People Across Europe Other

The European Democracy Youth Network (EDYN) is proud to announce its participation in two new Erasmus+ projects this fall. They will empower young people to become active citizens and shape democratic participation across Europe. In partnership with the leads of the two projects: Mano Europa and Forum 2000, EDYN will engage youth from across the region in international exchanges, training, and advocacy initiatives.

 

Democracy in Motion

Led by Mano Europa, Democracy in Motion will bring young people to an international youth mobility program in Kaunas, Lithuania which will take place on 13–22 October 2025. Over eight days, participants will take part in non-formal learning activities such as debates, simulations, role plays, world cafés, and team-building exercises. Participants will explore democratic values, social and human rights, and gain practical skills to increase civic participation in their communities. The project emphasizes inclusion and aims to equip both active youth and newcomers with the skills to strengthen democracy in their communities.

By the end of the project, participants will not only strengthen their understanding of EU institutions and democratic processes but also create awareness campaigns designed to inspire other young people to become active citizens. The program emphasizes diversity and inclusion, welcoming both active youth and those who are just beginning to explore civic engagement.

 

You(th)Dem Project

Forum 2000, founded by Václav Havel and based in Prague, is launching You(th)Dem, a project for young people from Central Europe (Czechia, Slovakia, Poland, Germany, Serbia). Through a combination of online sessions and in-person meetings in Prague (12–13 October 2025) and Brussels (16–17 March 2026), participants will engage in workshops, simulations, foresight exercises, and direct dialogue with youth leaders and politicians.

The project continues with local advocacy initiatives and EU-level dialogues to ensure that young people’s voices are represented in policy-making processes. Participants will gain confidence, advocacy skills, and hands-on experience in shaping democratic systems, while connecting with peers, mentors, and decision-makers across Europe.

Both projects underline EDYN’s commitment to strengthening democracy by equipping young people with the confidence, skills, and networks needed to take an active role in shaping Europe’s future. They reflect EDYN’s commitment to empowering young people, building networks across borders, and fostering active, inclusive participation in shaping the future of Europe.
