As we solemnly mark one year since Russia began its aggressive war against Ukraine, we, a group of young people, civic activists, political leaders, and journalists from 23 European countries, want to reaffirm our solidarity with the Ukrainian government and people in their heroic defense of their nation, land, dignity, and our common European values. We share the commitment and willpower to protect the freedoms that our parents and European people fought for.

Russia is solely responsible for this war, which poses a threat to global security. Despite facing unprovoked attacks from Putin’s forces, Ukrainians have fought valiantly for their freedom and independence. We pay tribute to those who have lost their lives and offer our thoughts and prayers to the people of Ukraine.

We, as EDYN, condemn the ongoing war started by Russia in Ukraine and the violence and suffering it has caused. We stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine and pledge to advocate for peace, security, and stability in Europe
